First appearance

“Now when Jesus was risen early the first day of the week, he appeared first to Mary Magdalene, out of whom he had cast seven devils.” Mark 16:9

After resurrection our Lord saviour Jesus Christ first appeared to Mary Magdalene.
Mary Magdalene and Mary came early in the morning to the sepulchre, but to their surprise the Angel came and rolled the big stone. The Angel told He (Jesus ) have risen. Hence Mary Magdalene went back and brought the disciples of Jesus. They also saw that the sepulchre was opened,  the stone was rolled out,  only the clothes of Jesus was found.
The disciples who came there went home. But Mary alone was standing.

John 20:11 ” Mary stood without at the sepulchre weeping:

John 20:15 Jesus said unto her, woman why deepest thou?

This is the first appearance of Jesus after resurrection.  Jesus didn’t appear to his mother Mary,  or His beloved  disciples who came to see the sepulchre but His first appearance was to Mary Magdalene. Why ??

The disciples who came there went home, they didn’t search for him alive or seek for his body.

But Mary was seeking Jesus because,  Jesus delivered her from evil spirits, she had experienced that miracle in her life. She was seeking Lord Jesus with contrite heart, her sorrow was deep. When she didn’t find Jesus body. She asks Angel to tell her where they have kept Jesus body.(John 30:13)

Mary Magdalene was truly seeking  Jesus with great sorrow,  Hence Jesus appeared to Her First

Likewise Jesus is going to appear only those who seek him fervently.
We need seek him diligently.  we need seek God for our spiritual needs, We need to be always in prayer seeking God’s plan in every aspects in our life. When we seek Jesus diligently surely He will appear to us. Let God help to grow in prayer life. Praise the Lord.

Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:
And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this? – John 11:25

The most Blessed man on earth !

image

Matthew 27:32 And as they came out, they found a man of Cyrene, Simon by name: him they compelled to bear his cross.

Mark 15:21 And they compel one Simon a Cyrenian, who passed by, coming out of the country, the father of Alexander and Rufus, to bear his cross.

Luk 23:26 And as they led him away, they laid hold upon one Simon, a Cyrenian, coming out of the country, and on him they laid the cross, that he might bear it after Jesus.

Simon  of Cyrene was going  out,  we really don’t know where he was going. He might would have come out to see Jesus. But the soldiers compelled him to carry  the cross . We really don’t know how far he carried the cross of Jesus Christ. But the truth is he was the most blessed person on earth in my opinion. Because  the sin of whole world was upon on the cross, which Jesus Christ was carrying.

Simon was compelled to carry this cross. There were 12 disciples but they all ran away.

Isa 53:5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.

The curse, iniquities, transgression, sickness, bondage, all together  our sin was upon Jesus Christ , He was carrying these as cross on his shoulder.
Which Simon of Cyrene carried to little distance. He carried only little distance because after that the verse we read soon Jesus Christ was crucified.

Today Jesus Christ is asking everyone one of us will you carry My cross.??

Everybody of us have trials, tribulation, sickness, difficulties which we need to carry daily and overcome it. Only then we can inherit the throne and reign with Jesus. Without cross there is no throne. Jesus Christ successfully overcame in this test and is on the right hand side of Lord the God. Likewise we need to overcome in our trial to be seated at right side of Jesus Christ.

Rev 3:21 To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.

Why I was born ??

Isa 61:1 The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound;

Isa 61:2 To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn;

God have created you not simply to live a life that please your self will but to do His will.

In times of problems which cannot be solved by money or human help , we may think
Why God have created me?,
why i was born ??

The answer  is  in Isaiah 61:1-3. Above verses.

We are not like animals which live and die.  But human being have soul , which lives for ever. God have created us to proclaim gospel, deliver the bounded people, to heal the sick, to deliver people from devils.

Each and every person is created by god for a particular reason, none of us is waste. We may be waste and useless in the sight of man, but we are precious in the sight of God. Man sees face, but God sees  heart. God can use us only when we submit ourself to Him.
Isa 43:4 Since thous wast precious in my sight, thou hast been honourable, and i have love thee: therefore will I give men for thee , and people for thy life”

Let us not lose hope seeing situation around us. One day God will deliver us from all our troubles and honour us. Praise the Lord.

” I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that soul knoweth right well.” Psa 139:14

Give first preference to God.

”Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.” – Psalms 51:10

In Psalms 51 chapter we read about the confession of King David. He was convicted of sin with Bathsheba. Hence he with a broken heart seek  God for His forgiveness.  Here David ask God to create a clean heart and right spirit  in him.

When people of Israel was in battle with their enemies , David being a King should have  been there in battle. But he was in palace at that time, this shows he was led by a wrong spirit,  which in turn led into a sin with Bathsheba.

This can be compare to our spirutual battle. During church hour we must go and attend church. If we do not go to church on Sundays, and go to some other place and spend time in vainly then we will get into trouble, this shows we are led by wrong spirit. Surely we will commit sin. Hence we need to be careful, attend Sunday worship , Bible studies . we must give first preference to God and seek him. The right spirit always urges us to attend church meeting. Let God give us Grace to seek him presence diligently.

“Teach me to do thy will; for thou [art] my God: thy spirit is good; lead me into the land of uprightness.” – Psa 143:10
